A delegation of tourism professionals, journalists and Brazilian private-sector representatives arrived in Abidjan on September 5 for an immersion programme and institutional meetings in Côte d’Ivoire. The group travelled with TAAG, departing São Paulo on September 4 and connecting in Luanda, highlighting the importance of the new air link between the two continents.
At Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, the group was welcomed by Akissi Bony Kramo, Director of External Services at the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure, and Christian Bohouman. Local media also covered the first moments of the mission.
Organised by the Côte d’Ivoire Tourism and Leisure Bureau in Brazil, the trip aimed to present the destination’s diversity to professionals who can strengthen its presence in the Brazilian market. Held from September 5 to 10, the programme combined tourism experiences, technical visits and strategic meetings.
A route through the country’s many faces
The itinerary included Abidjan, Assinie, Grand-Bassam and Yamoussoukro, as well as experiences at Banco National Park and Domaine Bini. Through heritage, nature, culture, gastronomy, business and hospitality, the mission introduced a diverse country aligned with new international tourism expectations.
A connection that brings markets closer
The São Paulo–Luanda–Abidjan service, inaugurated by TAAG in April 2026, shortens distances and opens new prospects for tourism and trade between Brazil and West Africa. For Jennifer Curcio, the Bureau’s Director for Brazil and Latin America, the mission is a concrete step towards building lasting relationships between the markets.
The delegation included Jennifer Curcio, Chau Marie Dogbo Nee Yapi, André Zehe, Guy Magliore Tenin, Márcia Santos, David Siasia Mania, Boubakar Sanfo, Rebecca Meadows, Loise Clemente, Aroldo Schultz, Michely Karine Corsini Serigati, Bianca Magalhães, Pedro Bernardo, Alexandro Kuroviski, Monica Bringel Quinta and Alberto Nguma.
